Brian is an experienced oil and gas and real estate attorney who works hard and smart for his clients.
For his oil and gas clients, he renders title opinions, conducts due diligence during mergers and acquisitions, and works directly with landmen and brokers to keep the project on schedule. Brian also represents Title Insurance Companies with curing title issues using negotiation and litigation in order to obtain the quickest and most efficient results for his clients. Brian has also assisted major public oil and gas drilling companies with filing liens and securing payment for unpaid services they have rendered.
Brian T. Wittpenn received his B.A. from The University of Texas at Arlington with dual majors in English and Philosophy, cum laude, his M.A. in Philosophy from The University of Houston, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, he was an Editor for the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Journal and was Most Contributing Editor as a Senior Articles Editor on the Houston Journal of International Law. Before joining Kuiper, Wheat & Associates, Brian was an associate at a large and then mid-sized oil and gas law firm.
Brian is a member of the State Bar of Texas, including the Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Section.
