Walker M. Smith
Walker M. Smith began his career providing services for clients in oil and gas and complex business litigation.
Prior to joining Kuiper, Wheat & Associates, Walker served both plaintiffs and defendants as an associate, while performing under the guidance of two of Houston’s most respected and professional litigators. Walker focused his efforts on both Federal and State Court issues, including multi-jurisdictional disputes, oil and gas disputes, contracts claims, fraud, negligence, and conspiracy.
At Kuiper, Wheat & Associates, Walker performs various roles, such as rendering title opinions and working with colleagues on litigation matters. Walker also handles title curative issues, liens and foreclosures, and contract drafting. Walker is a member of the State Bar of Texas, including the Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Section, Litigation Section, Entertainment and Sports Law Section, American Bar Association, Houston Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyer’s Association, and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.
Prior to law school, Walker was a member of the Pepperdine Men’s Rugby Football Club, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In law school, Walker focused on oil and gas and healthcare law, while competing in interscholastic contract negotiation competitions.
